Who we are

Hey there, I'm Nicole Kamara, a mother to three incredible children, each brought into this world with their own unique story. My journey through motherhood has been a remarkable one, filled with valuable lessons and an unquenchable desire to help other mothers celebrate and process their own unique birth stories.

My path to motherhood was as diverse as my children's births. I ventured to the United States on my own, seeking new opportunities and experiences. It was here that I pursued my architecture degree, where I excelled and honed my skills in design and creativity. But as much as I cherished my time in architecture, a deeper calling was tugging at my heartstrings.

My love for art, crafts, alternative medicine, math, and connecting with people led me to a profound realization: I wanted to engage in meaningful work that centered around women who gave birth. I had witnessed firsthand the transformative power of childbirth and the importance of telling, honoring, and cherishing these life-changing moments.

With this passion in my heart, I embarked on a new journey. I founded The Heart Beat Story to allow mothers to document and share their unique birth stories, providing a safe and supportive space for them to process and celebrate their experiences. Through storytelling, we empower mothers to embrace the beauty and strength within their birth journeys, no matter how they unfolded.  I believe that every individual has a unique story to tell, and I am here to listen and learn from each one.
